Austroads has recently published an updated edition of the Guide to Traffic Management Part 13: Road Environment Safety.
Part 13 provides the underlying philosophy of a safe road environment as it relates to traffic management practice, and places this in the context of relevant guidance provided in other Austroads Guides. It forms a useful link between the Guide to Traffic Management and other Guides, particularly the Guide to Road Safety and the Guide to Road Design.
This third edition brings the guidance in line with the latest Safe System research. It now includes a discussion on human factors, and updated information on driver workload and the Safe System. Appendix A has been revised to provide guidance on the linkage to other Parts of the Guides and Standards, and help practitioners find Austroads guidance relating to Safe Systems.
This webinar will highlight some of these key changes and will be particularly useful for practitioners dealing with road safety aspects of traffic management in the road environment. Join in a live Q&A with our presenter to ask questions about the recent update to the Guide.
