IAP Service Providers are the private sector monitoring companies that provide telematics services (i.e. hardware, software and associated processes). An IAP Service Provider who meets the certification requirements of the proposed Certification & Auditing Group is approved to undertake vehicle-monitoring services.

IAP Service Providers do not exist solely for the purpose of providing an input to the IAP. It is most likely that as commercial companies they will also be performing and offering other services including those of a telematics nature.
