Austroads strategic plan
The Austroads strategic plan sets the direction for Austroads over a five year period. It provides a guide for the development of projects and activities to be undertaken, and outlines what the organisation wants to achieve in that period.
The strategic plan is developed through a process of identifying emerging issues and determining priorities. The main input is from Austroads member organisations, but also includes input from external stakeholders. A strategic planning workshop is held to identify priorities for strategic research and set the parameters for Austroads activities. Task forces are established to scope the possible work to be undertaken on identified strategic research priorities.
Austroads is committed to providing a high quality result that is relevant to the needs of its member organisations and those involved in the development, management and operation of the road network. Through the strategic plan, Austroads' effort and resources are focused on the highest priority functions to ensure the greatest contribution is made to these areas.
The current strategic plan commenced in July 2007. Download a PDF of the 2007 - 2012 version.
